Updated Policies and Procedures

  • Virtual Classes will continue to be offered through Facebook, Instagram, and Mediahub
  • In-person classes will be offered starting Monday, June 15th
  • All class passes will be available for purchase online at crec.unl.edu/fitness for $30.
  • Pre-Registration is required for all classes, an all class pass must be purchased before a participant can pre-register. A participant can pre-register up to one week in advance but must pre-register at least 30 minutes before class.
  • Each class will have a set max capacity based on format and location.
  • The use of face masks are recommended during group fitness classes
  • Pre-registration for classes will close 30 minutes prior to the beginning of class. Walk-in class registrations are not accepted at this time.
  • Reservation cancellations must occur 30 minutes before class. After 3 missed reservations without a cancelation the participant's account will be frozen for 7 days.
  • Entrance doors into the studios will remain open during group fitness classes but will remain closed and locked when classes are not in session.
  • Participants will be asked to keep their belongings within their designated area.
  • Participants will be instructed to sanitize equipment before and after use and to use hand sanitizer before and after classes. No equipment will be shared during classes.

Class instructors, formats, times, and days are subject to changes without prior notification. Any class averaging less than six (6) people may be dropped from the schedule.

Only UNL students and Campus Rec members may purchase the All-Class Pass. Non-members may purchase a 1-Class Pass.

Use your All-Class Pass card and a form of ID to check-in with your fitness instructor before the start of each class.

Become a Group Fitness Instructor!

We offer a course during the fall and spring semesters. Register on MyRed for 0-2 credit hours.

The 12-week course provides theoretical knowledge and practical skills in preparation for the ACE national certification exam in group fitness instruction. Our group fitness graduate assistant and veteran instructors will train you in mastering your instructor skills. After the course, take and pass the ACE exam to be eligible to work for Campus Recreation as a group fitness instructor.
