NIRSA Flag Football Regional Championships
The University of Nebraska-Lincoln is excited to host the NIRSA Nebraska Flag Football Regional November 7-9, 2025! The tournament is open to men’s, women’s, co-rec, and Special Olympic and Unified teams. We are also currently accepting applications for officials!
Registration and Eligibility
To register a team, complete all documents in the registration packet and pay the $275 entry fee by Wednesday, October 29th at 5pm CST. We require physical copies of signed forms with the university seal, but digital placeholder forms may be emailed to Madison McFadden. Extensions may be granted if requested before the deadline date.

For information on player eligibility, please see the NIRSA eligibility guidelines. Please note that a valid university/college ID must be shown by all players before each game. All rosters must be finalized prior to the first game and each player must complete the NIRSA waiver and be properly listed on all forms.
Schedule and Tournament Format

Schedule is subject to change.
Teams are required to attend a captain's meeting in order to compete. There are two sessions for the captain's meeting: Friday evening (11/7) and Saturday morning prior to the first game (11/8). Teams only need to attend one of these sessions. The captain's meeting will be hosted in the Campus Recreation Center. Exact times will be shared closer to the tournament.
Each team will be guaranteed at least two games. Round-robin games will begin Saturday morning followed by a single-elimination tournament on Sunday for those that qualify. The final game schedule will be sent to teams and posted on IMLeagues the week of the tournament.
Officials
The University of Nebraska-Lincoln invites interested flag football officials to apply to work the tournament. Clinicians will be on staff to provide insight to officials over the course of the weekend. A mandatory meeting for officials will be held Friday evening on November 7th at the Campus Recreation Center. Interested officials are encouraged to apply here.
Locations
Our primary location throughout the weekend of the tournament will be the Campus Recreation Center. There is a possibility of games for the tournament being played at multiple locations. Games could be hosted at the following sites:
- Mabel Lee Fields - This site consists of turf fields and is located just across the street from the Campus Recreation Center. On Saturday, you will have to pay metered parking until noon. Parking on Sunday is free anywhere on Campus.
- Fleming Fields - This site is a short drive away from the Campus Recreation Center and consists of grass fields. Parking spaces at Fleming Fields are open and free to park.
- Cook Pavilion - Championship games will be played at this site! Cook Pavilion is an indoor turf field located inside the Campus Recreation Center on the right past the turnstiles.

Registration Forms
Each team must complete the NIRSA Regional Entry form, Player Certification Form (with university seal), NIRSA Code of Conduct, and NIRSA Wavier (one waiver per player). All Special Olympic and Unified teams must also complete the Athlete Player Certification Form. We require that the original signed copies of the paperwork are brought with teams in order to compete. Digital placeholders may be sent to Madison McFadden by the registration deadline of October 29, 2025.
