Exercise is a combination of education, motivation, commitment, and lifestyle changes to become the best you can be. With continual challenges that effect you physically and mentally you become a more healthy individual. Philosophy on exercise:

I believe that each program is unique to each individual. In other words, there isn’t one program that works for everyone. Every person has special needs that need to be identified in order for that person to be successful when exercising. I love trying new things when it comes to exercise and I sometimes find out the hard way whether that particular workout will work for me or not. But it all comes down to what you would like to get out of exercising and once you understand what your needs are, exercise becomes not only beneficial but fun as well.

About myself:

I grew up in Grand Island, NE all of my life and have played sports ever since I was four years old. Baseball and football were my favorite sports but I also played basketball and ran track throughout high school. After I graduated from high school I played baseball at UNK for a year and a half but an injury ended my playing days. I transferred to UNL my Junior year to start fresh and I’m so grateful for all of the opportunities that have come my way. My other hobbies include hunting and fishing when I’m not training or studying.

Philosophy on exercise:

It is becoming more and more clear that exercise should be an important part of peoples’ daily lives. The hardest aspect of it though is finding the motivation to get out there and do it sometimes. If I ever have a setback, lack of motivation is usually the cause. So, it’s important to set goals when exercising. A short-term, mid-term, and long-term goal should be set to help people maintain focus and motivation for exercising. Another thing people lack is time, myself included. So, it’s important to not only find ways to make time to exercise but also to find workout alternatives that are productive and time efficient.

About myself:

I am currently in my senior year here at UNL trying to get a degree in Education and Human Sciences. I am also pre-Physical Therapy so my long-term

Exercise is the universal medicine. I think that most health problems the general public face can be either cured or prevented with exercise. It takes hard work and dedication, but there is no better feeling then seeing your hard work pay off. My favorite part about educating and instructing people on exercise is watching them progress and seeing their confidence and feeling of well being bloom. That’s what I strive for when I train my clients, and why I love exercising.

ACSM Certified Personal Trainer

Areas of Specialty:

● Circuit Training
● Weight loss
● Stability/balance training

Philosophy on exercise:

To me exercise is not always about pushing your body to the limit and putting yourself through pain to live healthy. It can be anything from taking a walk with your dog, to playing frisbee, to running to actual training. Exercise is natural medicine that helps the body work at it’s best and reach it’s maximum potential. Exercise isn’t all about looking good and having a nice body but mainly about being healthy and happy and treating your body right :)

About myself:

I am a 21 year old senior here at UNL and I absolutely love working towards a degree in fitness! I like trick hula hooping, yoga and soccer. I’m a nature fanatic and am someday planning to move out west to live in the mountains. I am the oldest of 3 kids and my family is the most important thing in my life. My life motto = if you’re doing something that doesn’t make you happy, then change it!
