The University of Nebraska Rowing Club is excited to host a rowing clinic for high school students in Lincoln and surrounding areas. No background knowledge or experience is required! All high school students are welcome, regardless of post-graduation plans.
This two-day rowing clinic is designed to provide an introduction to rowing. We will meet at the Pawnee Lake Boathouse (Pawnee Area 1) on Saturday June 11th and Sunday June 12th from 7-10am. We recommend bringing tennis shoes, athletic clothes, and a hat. Water and snacks will be provided throughout the morning. We will provide a crash course on the parts of the boat and spend some time working on technique and developing power when rowing. Then we will spend most of the morning rowing on the water. Crew members will row with high school students to guide them as they develop their rowing form.

Safety is always the priority of our crew. PFDs and other safety equipment will be available to ensure a fun and safe experience for everyone. Instructors have been trained through the US Rowing Association on safe and appropriate coaching methods and will be alongside rowers in motorized safety boats. Please contact us with questions!
