Weight Management

Well On Your Weigh! is a 3-step weight management program that will help you start and maintain your weight-loss efforts. The complete program is broken down in to three progressive steps and participants can start at the step they feel best accommodates their fitness level. To sign up for weight management classes:

  1. Select “Register Now” below.
  2. Click on the “Well On Your Weigh!” tab at the top of the page.
  3. Find the section you are interested in attending (Look for the start date to find the correct section).
  4. Sign up via the scheduling site. The registration fee (and membership fee-if applicable) will be added to you Campus Recreation account.
  5. Pay prior to the beginning of class, at the Members Services desk at any Campus Recreation location.
  6. Attend the class and meet your goals!


Get Started!
September 12 - October 6, 2016

Get Started! jump-starts your weight-loss efforts. Ideal for anyone interested in basic tools to manage or lose weight. This step provides:

    • Exercises focused on weight loss- 2 days a week in a private group setting
    • Health Coaching
    • Nutrition Consultation
    • Unlimited access to a registered dietitian and exercise specialist
    • Personalized meal plan
    • Motivation & Personalized Service- we want you to succeed!
    • Optional Lunch provided on Monday for $7/week

Step It Up!
October 10 - November 3, 2016
Step It Up! takes your weight loss to the next level and is designed for anyone who 1) has completed the Get Started! portion or 2) exercises at least 3 days per week and wants to lose weight. Through this step, you receive:
    • 8 group metabolic training sessions
    • Fitness Activity Goal: Accumulate 200-250 minutes per week
    • Health Coaching
    • One Nutrition Consultation
    • Access to a dietitian & exercise specialist
    • Personalized physical activity plan and additional techniques for healthy eating
    • A friendly network to support + empower you to continue your weight loss journey
    • Personalized attention to meet your goals
    • Optional Lunch provided on Monday for $7/week

Take Charge!
November 7 - December 8, 2016
Take Charge! puts you in charge of your weight loss journey. It is designed for anyone who has either:
  1. completed both Get Started! and Step It Up! or
  2. exercises at least 3 days per week and wants to lose weight
Through this program, you receive:
    • 8 group metabolic training sessions
    • Fitness Activity Goal: Accumulate 250-300 minutes per week
    • Health Coaching
    • One Nutrition Consultation
    • Access to a dietitian & exercise specialist
    • Advanced weight management skills
    • A friendly network to support and empower you to continue your weight loss journey
    • Personalized attention to meet your goals
    • Optional Lunch provided on Monday for $7/week

Nutrition for Weight Management
September 12th - December 8th, 2016
Mondays | 12:10–12:50 p.m.
A 12-week online series open to UNL community members interested in weight loss or weight management techniques.
This weekly educational series will provide:
    • Support in your daily choices for weight loss through weekly online guidance by a Registered Dietitian–accessible anytime, anywhere! (Or, join the Well on Your Weigh group for Monday’s lunch-and-learns!)
    • Weekly in-person weigh-ins + nutrition check-ins via phone, email or MyFitnessPal.
