The OA League of Extraordinary Boulders (LXB)and the League of Extraordinary Climbers (LXC) are team competitions where teams of three climbers compete once a week against other teams. It is a great place to hang out with friends, make new friends, and spend an hour learning more about the sport of climbing. All climbing skill levels are welcome. A scoring handicap system is in place that gives all skill levels a chance to win.
The bouldering league is a great way to disguise exercise in a fun social setting. It allows participants to have good chalky fun while getting in shape. The bouldering league is a team competition that takes bouldering to a new level. It takes an inherently individual sport and transforms it into a team endeavor which encourages social health coupled with individual and group performance.
The climbing league is a vertical climbing league with teams of three taking on vertical climbing routes. This is a great way to get ready for climbing competitions or just improve your on site climbing skills.

Climbing Challenges
Yosemite National Park is home to one of the most famous rock faces and big wall climbs in North America. One route in particular was thought to be un-climbable, "The Nose" until Warren Harding, Wayne Merry and George Whitmore spent 47 days climbing to put up the first assent in 1958. Elite climbers are now able to complete the climb in less than three hours. Today the rating for the route is 5.9 C1, and reaches 2,900 feet above the ground.
In this challenge, we simulate this famous climb on the indoor climbing wall. Getting involved is simple, ask any climbing wall attendant for an El Cap Challenge route tracking card, listen to a short introduction about the challenge from our staff and start climbing. To complete this challenge, all you need to do is climb the 76 routes on the tracking sheet in less than 47 days.
After you complete all of the climbs, give your tracking sheet to the wall staff and your name and time it took to complete the challenge will be posted at the wall. For each successful assent of "El Cap" your name will be entered in a drawing that will be held on the Friday of dead week. Think you can do better? Multiple tries are allowed per semester. Each time you successfully complete the challenge you will be entered in the drawing for prizes.
Cost: Free for Students that have completed the climbing wall orientation class. Get started at the climbing wall!
