No awards or placement points will be given in the recreational leagues or tournaments.

Independent All-University Points

All-University point totals will be kept for teams in the Independent Division, with the following qualifications:
A. The team must maintain the same team name throughout the year.
B. A roster of no more than 40 different names must be turned in to the Assistant Director for Intramural Sports before team points can be awarded to any independent organization. Team rosters must be in before an activity starts in order to be eligible for points in that sport. At the end of the first semester, the organization may elect to change up to ten (10) names on their roster; the roster may never exceed 40 active players. This regulation has been initiated to provide some equity for teams competing in the Independent Division and to provide further recognition of their efforts and accomplishments.
C. Recognized student organizations must have a roster on file to compete for independent All-University points.

Esprit de Corps Award

This award was established in 1980 for the purpose of giving recognition to members of organizations who participate in intramural sport activities to bolster the morale of the organization.

A trophy is presented to the Fraternity, Sorority, Men's & Women's Residence Hall floor, and Men's & Women's Independent team showing the greatest Esprit de Corps in selected Intramural Sports. This award is presented to the organization that has the greatest number of participants in the selected events. The number of participants is converted to a 3, 2, 1 scale for each activity.

Team Sports Award

This award will be presented to the Fraternity, Sorority, Men's & Women's Residence Hall floors, and Men's & Women's Independent organizations which have accumulated the greatest number of All-University points in the league team sports activities: basketball, broomball, flag football, floor hockey, indoor soccer, slow pitch softball, and volleyball. An organization must participate in a minimum of three of these activities to qualify.

Sportsmanship Award

A trophy will be presented to the Fraternity, Sorority, Men's & Women's Residence Hall floors, and Men's & Women's Independent organizations (with rosters registered with the Intramural Sports Program) with the best sportsmanship. This will be determined by the Intramural Sports Program staff. All teams playing for an organization will be considered for this award. An organization must participate in at least three activities in which a sportsmanship rating is given to qualify for this award.
